How to Create Custom Brushes in Photoshop
Photoshop comes with a number of default brushes. But depending on your project, you might want to create your own. Many people use this feature for stenciling, or any repeating pattern you want to include in your art.
Start with a high-res empty document. That way, you ensure that your brush can be resized without being pixelated. Choose a black and white color setup for foreground and background. Draw whatever you want to be your brush. Select that section and click Edit -> Define Brush Presets.
Your custom brush will now appear in your brush list at the very bottom. You can already start using it. If you want to play around with it and take it further, you can modify the spacing of your brush, adjusting it to your individual taste and needs. You can find many more options within the brush modifier.
