How to Create a Fire Brush in Adobe Photoshop with a Wacom Tablet

People who play with fire -- either literally or metaphorically -- have been known to get burned. With the help of Adobe Photoshop and a Wacom tablet, however, you can safely manipulate the look of fire and flames from the safety of your studio. All play, no burns (unless you're looking to dodge and burn, which is another tutorial entirely.

Using the Cintiq 27QHD Pen and Touch, VFX artist Jon Ryder shows how Photoshop users can customize a brush to give off a glowing effect perfect for everything from robust combustions to luminous details like tiny glowing fireflies in the night sky. All it takes is some thoughtful adjustments and your digital canvas is ready for flames.
