I grew up in Ottawa, Ontario, studied Commercial Arts and Fine Arts at Algonquin College in Ottawa. Moved to Toronto, then headed for the picturesque and awe-inspiring east coast, on to Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia. I did a bit of drawing and painting over the years, but I was mostly busy with raising 2 daughters and keeping the books for our family auto repair business. Now that the kids are grown up and moved on their own and the business closed down, it leaves me more time to dabble and explore different mediums and forms of art. In 2008, I was diagnosed with Macular Degeneration, which means in time, my central vision will deteriorate. I'm keeping a positive outlook as this is only a reminder of why eyesight is such a wonderful gift and shouldn't be taken for granted. As for now I'm exploring with my Wacom Intuos, my digital SLR camrea and seeing the world around me as a large piece of artwork.
