This often-photographed old wreck lies abandoned on the shores of Inverness in Tomales Bay, Marin County, California. Tomales Bay is an hourlong drive from the City of San Francisco.....oddly shaped, it is barely more than a mile across in most places and fooled early explorers who mistook it for a river.

Nice picture, I would crop the weeds at the bottom which distract the viewer from the main subject.

If you crop the lower weeds out, the reflection will be too close to the base of the photo. I would instead, clone some of the water over the top of the weeds to give you more room at the base, and then crop it.

Very nice composition...I like the weeds in the picture as it gives contrast and context, otherwise it would be a little to sterile.

There actually was a distraction in the lower left of this picture (in the water just above the weeds) that I cloned out. Cropping out the weeds would have been too severe and though I could have "harvested and patched" to remove them, I felt that they added some depth to the picture. Perhaps a slight burn would be in order..........thanks for all your comments.......Evan

I would argue that the fore ground area helps to anchor the the photo while adding depth. The foliage actually points to the main subject. Great shot.

I agree. I think the weeds add to the image and lead the eye to the boat.
