1. Bold, Minimalistic Designs

According to NIJ Media, bold minimalism is a mixture of both bold and minimalistic elements that come together to push out a main message. As consumer’s attention spans become smaller, bold colors and minimalistic fonts both catch the eye and quickly get the point across.

2. Modern Retro Nostalgia

Brands are tapping into nostalgic 70s-90s designs. Consumers feel drawn to these designs as they are familiar to them. Nostalgic design assists in creating a brand story and consumer connection. For example, Burger King brought back their old retro logo as opposed to creating a new one. This successful rebrand is not only part of the retro trend, but also reiterated their place as a classic American company. We anticipate more companies doing something similar in 2025.

3. Creating a Brand Personality and Identity

Brands are creating a more authentic experience with consumers. This includes fine-tuning, listening to customer feedback, and establishing a sense of relatability with their consumers. While this isn’t necessarily the physical design of a brand, the emotional conception of a brand helps create transparency and trustworthiness amongst consumers.

4. Prioritizing Digital Branding

The prioritization of digital branding involves focusing on the best and most user-friendly digital platforms rather than focusing on a traditional approach. This allows for a more accessible and holistic platform for consumers. Rather than focusing solely on print ads, for example, brands are focusing on creating an immersive website experiences and enticing designs for online advertisements. They’re doing rapid-response, short-term brand moments that can respond to the current micro-trend of the moment.

While these are just fun predictions, we hope to see how these trends play out in the coming months into the next year.
