Wacom’s Corporate Community Engagement team had the opportunity to collaborate with two local partners for two fun nights of art and networking. We met up at a Baerlic Brewing in Southeast Portland with a bunch of Wacom devices, including Wacom One pen displays, Wacom Movink pen displays, and Wacom Cintiq pen displays, for digital art collaboration, beverages, community, and pizza!
Our first meetup was with Portland’s Digital Dabblers, a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching creative folks how to use open source digital art tools.
“I can’t express how much it means for our community to be included at the latest Drink-N-Draw … Last night was just pure fun. People I chatted with expressed how welcoming the event felt and [that they ] would love to return.”
Daniel, Digital Dabblers
Our second meetup was with Jolby, a creative design agency. For this meetup, we got to celebrate Valentine’s Day by making cards for our loved ones. Jolby provided the custom cards and we printed them using Outlet PDX, another great partner we love to support.
Each event had over 50 people attend. Changing the location of our Doodle Nights has been great for making new connections and showcasing Wacom products to new artists. We are also planning collaborations with new partners and spaces for future meetups around Portland!
