A arte que representa – Deoxy Diamond

Deoxy Diamond sempre se destacou nas redes sociais com sua arte que representa. Mostrando sempre o seu dia a dia, os seus amigos e o seu jeito de pensar. Hoje vamos conhecer mais ainda o talento de quem leva para a arte muito mais do que se possa imaginar.

E essa história começa assim:

Quando comecei a ilustrar pensava em ser colorista e percebia a falta de tutoriais para pintar pele negra. Com o tempo, comecei a me interessar na criação de personagens e também sentia a falta dos personagens negros ali, então, por conta própria, comecei a pesquisar fora do nicho de ilustração para criar artes.

A representatividade para mim ganha força quando ela existe e de forma ampla, as pessoas tendem a fazer personagens negros com o padrão ”melhor amigo negro do protagonista branco” e em raras vezes notamos isso sendo invertido como acontece na animação “Super Choque”. Podemos fazer pretos e pretas podendo se ver em qualquer posição em uma história, afinal, não somos apenas personagens secundários, mas podemos também ser comandantes, médicos e engenheiros de naves espaciais e outros tipos de personagens de grande importância. Acredito que as vezes podemos fazer uma história clichê, mas que nunca foi contada pelo ponto de vista de um negro.

Ao criar um personagem e alguém comentar ”parece comigo, eu nunca tinha visto um personagem parecido comigo antes”, como recebo constantemente, traz uma sensação única. Incluindo diversidade na sua arte você pode incentivar quem admira seu trabalho a se inspirar e notar que não há problemas em existir um grupo de personagens formado por negros em sua maioria e não apenas um único coadjuvante misterioso. A reflexão também vale para os artistas negros em convenções, becos do artista, eventos de arte no geral, onde grande parte das vezes não possuem incentivo e acabam se tornando esse único e solitário personagem secundário.
