It’s been a wild year. 2020 has taught us to hang on to the good times and surround ourselves with friends and family — virtually, that is. Though we won’t be hopping on a plane to sunny Pasadena this year, we’re ecstatic to join LightBox Expo Online and still be able to connect with our artist friends across the globe.

Multi-artist sessions
Over the LightBox weekend, we’ll be hosting four, collaborative creative sessions with a selection of artists who push the boundaries in animation, concept art, VisDev and beyond. These multi-artist sessions are made possible thanks to Magma Studio, a brand-new professional-grade application that works directly in your browser. Panel with the community behind #DrawingWhileBlack: Q&A
In addition to our Magma Studio sessions, we will host a live panel with illustrator and #DrawingWhileBlack creator, Abelle Hayford. Abelle will be joined by Umaimah Damakka, Manny Edeko and Mariama Alizor to discuss the viral hashtag that promotes and advocates for black artists worldwide.
