What is SXSW EDU 2023?
The South By Southwest EDU (SXSW EDU) Conference & Festival is “an annual event that fosters innovation and learning within the education industry. It brings together the learner, the practitioner, the entrepreneur, and the visionary to share their groundbreaking stories, tackle complex issues, and build reimagined paths forward.”
Wacom has presented at SXSW in the past about our innovative technology – and are excited to join SXSW EDU next year to demonstrate how Wacom products can help cultivate creativity and elevate education in any learning environment. But our presentations are not guaranteed – we need your help!
We’ve proposed two presentations at SXSW 2023, but community voting is one element in the selection process, so we need your help. Please vote for our panels today!

They will also do a deep dive into how to understand and support the next generation of creative leaders in and out of the classroom.

Session Title 2: Digital Doodling for Enhancing Classroom Learning
In this presentation, educators will gain confidence and understanding into the uses of visual arts in STEM and STEAM. They explore how anyone can tap into the inherent ability to draw and create that we all have. Can you write your name? Draw a smiley face? Then congratulations! You are already using visual representation in your everyday life that can be harnessed in STEM and STEAM classrooms for maximum learning.
Speakers:
- Celina Bertoncini, STEAM Teacher, Brooklyn Emerging Leaders Academy
