And really the most important, if not the only, keyboard shortcuts you need to have an incredible experience while modeling your latest design.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Shift + hover <\/strong>\/ drag pen tip rotates the model in the environment.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Ctrl\/Cmd + hover<\/strong> \/ drag pen tip pans the model in the environment.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Alt + hover<\/strong><\/span><strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\/ drag pen tip zooms in and out within the environment.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now, there are a few ways to program these keyboard shortcuts into the ExpressKeys on your tablet or the buttons on your Wacom pen.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pro Pen 3D<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chances are, if you\u2019re modeling in 3D and using a Wacom tablet, you\u2019ve heard of the <\/span><b>Pro Pen 3D<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This device has a couple differences from the <\/span><b>Pro Pen 2<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which comes in the box of your Intuos or Cintiq tablet. Most importantly is the third button added to the \u2018barrel\u2019 of the pen.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assigning <\/span><b>Shift \/ Ctrl \/ Alt<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to each of these buttons is a best case scenario for use with Shapr3D, and you can have full navigation control without using your non-dominant hand on a keyboard or ExpressKeys.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"688\" height=\"807\" src=\"https:\/\/community.wacom.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/40\/2022\/02\/ProPen3D_Button-Mapping_Blue.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11052\" style=\"width:516px;height:605px\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/community.wacom.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/40\/2022\/02\/ProPen3D_Button-Mapping_Blue.jpg 688w, https:\/\/community.wacom.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/40\/2022\/02\/ProPen3D_Button-Mapping_Blue-480x563.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 688px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pro Pen 2<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The majority of us will be using the Pro Pen 2 that came in the box with the tablet. In this case, our suggestion is to map the pen buttons according to the navigation functions that you use most often. Typically, we find users mapping Tumble\/Rotate and Pan\/Move more frequently than Zoom. Windows Ink is a feature that helps transmit rich tablet data like pressure sensitivity, rotation and tilt of the pen. Windows Ink also changes the way the pen tip is recognized for more \u2018mouse-based\u2019 workflows in some applications. There are a few operations that won\u2019t perform as expected with Window Ink active, like Spline curves in Sketch mode.
