The Animation Dance-Off party will take place Saturday evening from 7:00PM to midnight\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">in Justine's Ballroom at the Sheraton hotel (connected to the convention center).<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span>\n\n<strong>What is an Animation Dance-Off?<\/strong><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span>\n\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">We\u2019re glad you asked! The Animation Dance-Off\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">is a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0one-of-a-kind\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">contest\/<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">party where LightBox attendees get their groove on, enjoy refreshments, and showcase<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0their animation chops for a chance to win great prizes, including a Wacom Cintiq Pro 24. To enter,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Animation Dance-Off\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">participants must animate a dance cycle featuring their characters dancing to the provided track sample <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">by\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/mechlo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Mechlo<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">a Portland-based DJ<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0and Mike has also worked for a variety of media companies including Dreamworks, Warner Bros., Bongo Comics, Disney Channel, Disney Publishing Worldwide, and\u00a0NeverPeak\u00a0Games.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span>\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/AnimikeArt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Facebook<\/span><\/a><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span>\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/animike.tumblr.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Tumblr<\/span><\/a><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span>\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.toonboom.com\/presenters\/chalstead\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Christina\u00a0Halstead<\/strong><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0began<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0creating stories and drawing animal characters in high school.
