It creates a space for continuous exploration about the future of human creativity by bringing imaginative and curious people from all walks of life together to ask questions, exchange ideas, and inspire each other about new and alternative ideas at the convergence of art, education, science, and technology. One of the upcoming sessions features the creators of <\/em>Panchita!!,<em> a lovely 3D animated short film. For more about the film, and the upcoming Connected Ink session featuring its creators, read on!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Panchita!!<\/em> is an animated short film about a South American girl living on an informal settlement with dreams of dancing. <a href=\"https:\/\/unsaidstudio.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Unsaid Studio<\/a> created the short film in collaboration with and as a fundraiser for <a href=\"https:\/\/us.techo.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TECHO<\/a>, an NGO  that has built homes for 131,000 South American families in 18 countries over the last 25 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here's a preview of the gorgeous, charming 3D animated art of Panchita:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-block-embed-vimeo wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Art of Panchita!!\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/810374714?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The cause<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To raise awareness of the fact that over 200 million people live in poverty in Latin America and the Caribbean today, with no proper home, no potable water, sewage, or electricity access, TECHO paired with Unsaid Studio to transform this scenery into a classic story, made with time, love and most importantly: created for a good cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through Panchita, TECHO and Unsaid Studio aim to represent the kids that live in informal settlements and bring awareness to the work TECHO does with communities on 18 countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/community.wacom.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/40\/2023\/08\/panchita-image-1.jpg\" alt=\"Panchita image 1\" class=\"wp-image-812380\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/community.wacom.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/40\/2023\/08\/panchita-image-1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/community.wacom.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/40\/2023\/08\/panchita-image-1-980x551.jpg 980w, https:\/\/community.wacom.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/40\/2023\/08\/panchita-image-1-480x270.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Story and characters<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\"Mama we have a floor! We have a floor!\"<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A TECHO volunteer described the joy of seeing a 6-year-old girl dance for the first time in her new house, built by TECHO. This story perfectly illustrated the power of having a place to call home, and inspired the story of Panchita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\"Upon unearthing a magical old VCR, fate dictates that Panchita discovers her calling: to tap dance. Guided by an unexpected, supernatural friend, Mr. Bo, this new passion will connect her with the wide world as she transforms her very own surroundings.\"<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">6-year-old Panchita lives in an informal settlement with her grandmother, unaware of the wider struggle of poverty she lives within. Because TECHO empowers and uplifts, the film is also a tale of hope. So the bright, simple, toy-like style represents both TECHO's mission and the childlike wonder of the main character, Panchita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\"When you donate, TECHO enables you to reach into an informal settlement and affect someone's life in a physical way.
