You can possess the draftsmanship and mark-making skills necessary to create layouts, or the color theory and value hierarchy sensibilities needed for color, or both. It's mind-boggling how I've gone this long without trying a screen tablet because now that I have, I'm not sure I want to return. She loves using color to conjure emotion and fullness in her paintings, and liberally uses adjustment layers, filters, and gradient maps. She trusts the creative process and lets go, allowing the subconscious to put one hand on the wheel instead of micromanaging every detail.
