We love Joli Noelle David\u2019s infectious personality and openness to sharing her experience as a design student at UC Davis on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@JoliNoelleDavid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">her YouTube channel<\/a>. I also try out <a href=\"https:\/\/briefup.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Briefup<\/a>, a website that gives realistic and fun design briefs to help designers practice their skills and try new styles!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Get a brief to practice with<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Go to Briefup and get a brief to practice with. I got one called \"Luke\u2019s Iced Coffees.\" This brief suggests that a company called Luke's Iced Coffees wants a new logo. The style they're looking for: edgy, with pastel colors, and directed at a millennial target audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Design your logo!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open blank canvas in Adobe Illustrator<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the <strong>Pencil Tool<\/strong> to sketch out bubble typography letters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the <strong>Smoothing Tool<\/strong> to adjust shapes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make shapes <strong>Live Paint<\/strong> group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experiment with different color combinations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the <strong>Brush Tool<\/strong> to write cursive letters and a wavy shape around letters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the <strong>Direct Selection Tool<\/strong> to adjust lettering<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the <strong>Smooth Tool<\/strong> to adjust shapes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make the shapes into <strong>Live Paint<\/strong> group<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Practice again and continue improving<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The more you practice, the better you'll get!
