We love Joli Noelle David\u2019s infectious personality and openness to sharing her experience as a design student at UC Davis on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@JoliNoelleDavid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">her YouTube channel<\/a>. So we sent her one of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/community.wacom.com\/en-us\/wacom-one-pen-display-and-tablet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new Wacom Ones<\/a>&nbsp;\u2014 the medium pen tablet version \u2014 to get her thoughts and impressions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/community.wacom.com\/en-us\/how-to-design-logo-illustrator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the last post and video<\/a>, she showed how to design a logo using the pen tablet. Instagram highlights are a great way to boost engagement and interaction on your IG page. Making your own is a simple way to make your overall page look more professional and cohesive!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Get Started<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Decide what highlights you want to include. Here are a few ideas: Q&amp;A, BTS (Behind The Scenes), Moodboards, Inspiration, FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions), About, Pricing, Extra, Shop, Resources, Client Work, Youtube, Wallpapers, Tips &amp; Tricks, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Get inspiration! I looked on Pinterest to get inspiration for different styles to try.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Design your custom Instagram highlight icons<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For this video, I created a 16 circle templates to try out four different styles: abstract, photography, sketchbook, and text. Feel free to use this template to practice making your own. (Pro tip: use individual artboards to create your highlights in order to get high resolution images when exported).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first step for each is to use the <strong>ellipse tool<\/strong> to create circles on a blank artboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How I created each of the 4 different styles:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Abstract<\/em>: Change the fill to the background color of your choice. Use the<strong> brush tool <\/strong>and bright colors to create organic lines and abstract shapes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Photography<\/em>: You can download royalty-free stock images on Pexels.com. Find photos that fit your vibe!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Sketchbook<\/em>: Change the fill to the background color of your choice. Using the <strong>brush tool<\/strong> with the<strong> charcoal feather brush<\/strong> selected, draw simple icons to represent your desired highlights.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Text<\/em>: Change the fill to the background color of your choice. Type out the text you want to represent your highlights (ex. Q&amp;A, About, etc.). Experiment with different styles of typography.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pro tip: keep your brand identity in mind! You want the highlights to match your page and tie in well with your aesthetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.
