Take a look and do not forget to give him a follow: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/chromebookclassroom\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/chromebookclassroom<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a high school science teacher, I spent a lot of time in front of the whiteboard and the overhead projector, diagraming cells, punnett squares, and the Krebs cycle (it\u2019s complicated, trust me!).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As classrooms ha<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ve become digital, drawing and sketching things by hand has become less common.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>That is starting to change.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The availability of low-cost touch screen devices and the ability to purchase low-cost pen tablets makes digital doodling possible!<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The One by Wacom is a great example.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s compatible with all platforms, including Chromebooks, and it instantly adds touch capabilities to any device.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even if you have a touch screen Chromebook, writing on a vertical screen gets old pretty quick. If you plan on slinging a lot of digital ink, get a One by Wacom!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here are the top five apps that I use with my One by Wacom<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">Annotate with Chrome Canvas<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"339\" height=\"210\" src=\"https:\/\/lh4.googleusercontent.com\/E1iA7w1jv0dyLW2CSqNSk8Pudog22zCM8gISjb7e8omimFEH444xEBcMKMjBnHZBT-vVEsMvHGUwNzLMzh75iuhgdyAxbmX59q1kkq2i23ObaRrgLp_ccOfYkrXlbkYycl218QEZ\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/canvas.apps.chrome\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chrome Canvas<\/a> is a simple drawing tool that I use to quickly annotate images.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Teachers can use these images for presentations, quizzes, or to improve worksheets and student activities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chrmbook.com\/google-classroom-students\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Classroom quiz<\/a> is filled with images that I created using Chrome Canvas.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Best of all, Chrome Canvas is 100% free and integrates into your Google account so you can move between devices and still have access to all your drawings.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Give feedback with Google Classroom<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Google Classroom mobile app for Android and iOS has a \u201chidden\u201d annotation feature that you can use to annotate student assignment submissions.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"291\" height=\"93\" src=\"https:\/\/lh6.googleusercontent.com\/vFtG7r-YblArwj8SQLlWnGJCJATaHXpILA0FlPapQhLuT0YfHDrcL-BBo-wl_fOUjO_hj-t9yM7cUoGCGNxH75IegB6I_-_l8S8T5emt2Me9czcBayzYDvKADmxnPeEMSknFR_ru\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s exactly what <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chrmbook.com\/grading-on-a-chromebook\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jennifer Kipfmiller and her fellow english<\/a> teachers at Bangor high school in Michigan discovered.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your corrections are saved as a new PDF and automatically attached to the student\u2019s assignment. The student can look at your revisions and apply them to their Google doc, slide presentation or spreadsheet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This annotation feature is ONLY available on the Google Classroom iOS or Android app.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But wait!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most Chromebooks can access the Android version of Google Classroom as well!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I use this feature all the time on my Chromebook using my One by Wacom.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">[<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/FWaEgZNKu8Y\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/FWaEgZNKu8Y<\/a>]&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">Collaborate with Jamboard<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"413\" height=\"232\" alt=\"Jamboard lesson plan - sorting wall\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/njHJMNG-8abRJTHqeMMhD00_O1sl91HmOVbgOIz8euMfDfkHKAn_YRc120h2gcWSYIoAvBfsPat6s_5P7zktXvU2Y_H-opYT8GoTSxZH_4_SgeJ9EzBVfG8LkrgyuLWJ3tkibheO\" title=\"\"><\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/jamboard.google.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jamboard<\/a> is my go-to app for getting my students involved in the doodling.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Up to 50 collaborators can doodle at the same time, so there is plenty of room for your entire class!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jamboard is available through your web browser or through mobile apps for iOS and Android.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My favorite Jamboard activity is called \u201csorting wall,\u201d an activity that requires students to show the relationships between ideas.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Want to give Jamboard a try? Check out these <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chrmbook.com\/jamboard-activities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">five Jamboard lesson templates<\/a> you can use in your classroom!<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Whiteboards for all (Whiteboard.fi)<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Jamboard is great for messy, group doodling, but it doesn\u2019t provide students with their own, independent workspace.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"344\" height=\"256\" src=\"https:\/\/lh6.googleusercontent.com\/Ft35hQ8f4p72nMcuFg9kKFC2KrP8oYcdObbOATZ0fLCW3Nm9QXg3uJ9qZV0H21A5US5ebJ05TSLhmvrvcnf3zlfad3FjcXvfgQKDvt8usmTMBIi6Bzf08PEYIWj-6PJ57znqaf73\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s why you need <a href=\"https:\/\/whiteboard.fi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Whiteboard.fi<\/a>!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whiteboard.fi provides every student with a private, virtual whiteboard on which they can solve a math problem, write a musical measure, or annotate a map.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You, the teacher, can see everyone\u2019s whiteboard and push new pages to students.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whiteboard.fi is a simple solution to real-time practice problems for math, geography, music, and science.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">Worksheet with Kami<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"396\" height=\"273\" src=\"https:\/\/lh6.googleusercontent.com\/O2WWfArcPFHPSvS9AY1QpgJE7ZDLrZYXhGSDFoluft8zspG-nGDzQgmHA5T5lj0SrqvWul8HORiviLHojqKiImtqpRxyhSDYEndnq0NnWlquuMaY8nS5MTERRr9GrERHOaMz7aEI\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are a LOT of teaching resources that were designed for printing.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Due to COVID, running off copies for your entire class isn\u2019t as easy as it once was.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kamiapp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kami<\/a> is a wonderful free tool that teachers can use to bridge the gap between print resources and digital activities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With Kami, you can draw, write, and annotate on top of a PDF file.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kami is integrated with Google Classroom which makes it easy to assign and receive student work.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I also use Kami to sign and fill out administrative forms and documents that require a \u201creal\u201d signature.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sketch, draw, and doodle!&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Handwritten instructions and feedback adds a uniquely human touch to digital assignments.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This list of drawing tools for teachers is far from exhaustive.
