Art Apps on the iPad: SketchBook Mobile with the Intuos Creative Stylus 2

Following significant updates to its SketchBook Pro 7 desktop software, Autodesk has rolled out an overhauled SketchBook Mobile app for the iPad boasting a refreshed interface and a host of powerful new features. For the first time users can harness much of the functionality offered on the high-powered SketchBook Pro 7 desktop illustration software, with an interface optimized for using a stylus with the iPad. It's a perfect chance for beginners to start drawing straight onto their screen, and for longtime artists to tap the potential of the iPad as part of their digital art workflow.

Drawing with Wacom's new Intuos Creative Stylus 2, Archer storyboard artist and comic book creator Kevin Mellon walks users through the new SketchBook Mobile's updated color and brush settings, along with its all-new selection, fill and gradient tools.

You can see how the ICS2 pairs with the new SketchBook Mobile for iPad in Mellon's three-video series below.
