Making a Connection: The Cintiq Companion 2's Mobile and Desktop Functionality

Prepare to feel more connected to your work than ever before.

The all-new Cintiq Companion 2 is waiting for you, on the go or in the studio. All five of the Cintiq Companion models come ready for your work on their own as Intel Core-powered standalone Windows 8 PC creative pen displays, or plugged into a Mac or PC via Cintiq Connect technology. Create anything, anywhere, anytime.

Inspired by the functionality of the original Android-powered Cintiq Companion Hybrid, the Cintiq Companion 2 gives users the power to plug the standalone PC into both Mac (Mac: OS X 10.8 or later) and PC (Windows 7 or later) computers via its new 2-in-1 cable. It's twice the functionality with a third less cable to carry around than previous models.

When plugged into either a Mac or PC, the Cintiq Companion 2's 13.3" 2.5K (2560 x 1440) WQHD display screen becomes an extension of your machine of choice, giving you the most powerful 2048-levels of pen pressure experience possible. Wacom's pen experience is augmented even further by the Companion 2's multitouch capabilities and new ExpressKey slate, which gives users more buttons for a total of six programmable buttons on either side of the customizable Rocker Ring and Home Button.

With the new Cintiq Connect 2-in-1 cable, connectivity has never been easier. When connected to the Cintiq Companion 2, users simply plug the cable's USB and HDMI inputs into their desktop or laptop Mac or PC and they're ready to work. When you're done, simply unplug and the Companion 2 is ready to get back to work using its own powerful components. It's as fluid as your workflow demands.
