Creating Super Hero Collectibles with Mike Thompson – Part 2

Join us for a fascinating demo with Mike Thompson to learn how he creates super hero collectibles using Zbrush to add costume details and textures to his Marvel Cyclops statue. Cyclops is the leader of the XMen and Mike will be showing us how he created a realistic yet dynamic pose and depiction of the comic hero. Mike will be working on his Cintiq Pro 32″ and using ZBrush.
Mike Thompson is an award-winning artist who has spent the last 30 years creating illustrations for clients such as Marvel, Hasbro, Dimension Films, Cartoon Network, and WB.
Mike’s work has been featured in books, videogame covers, movie posters and toy packaging. Infiniti Motors and Coca-Cola have featured Mike’s art in advertising campaigns, and he received two Clio Awards for the films Hidden Figures and Deadpool 2
Mike’s digital sculpting clients include Sideshow Collectibles, Reel FX and Nike.
He is a Wacom partner, and Corel Painter Master, as well as a ZBrush Live presenter for Pixologic. Mike can be seen streaming twice a month on his site.
