Your mission: create a new settlement in the Minerva galaxy with KitBash3d

Ever wanted to travel through space and settle a newly-discovered, empty planet? Now you can!

Your mission is to travel to the newly discovered Minerva galaxy and create a human outpost for a brand-new space settlement! But how?

KitBash3d is hosting a brand new challenge: Mission to Minerva. Participants will create a 3d outpost in the Minerva galaxy. Their creations will be judged by powerhouse judges from a variety of creative industries, and winners will receive epic prizes from Wacom, NVIDIA, ArtStation, KitBash3d and more!

Here’s everything you need to know about the challenge.

KitBash3D enables and inspires creators of the virtual frontier by producing and distributing libraries of fully customizable 3D models. They offer more than 10,000 premium assets used to create everything from futuristic utopias, to devastated war zones, cyberpunk underworlds, bustling modern metropolises, and much more.

Since 2017, KitBash3D assets have been used on hundreds of feature film, television, and game projects to bring immersive, cinematic, and interactive worlds to life for entertainment companies including Marvel, Netflix, HBO, Ubisoft, Naughty Dog, 2K Games, as well as thousands of independent artists around the world.

Participating artists in Mission to Minerva will get access to a free, 3D asset Kit filled with everything a spacefaring explorer needs, from cargo ships, terrain rovers, modular habitats, and terraformers to use as they build their own space settlement concept art or animation.

Through this challenge, participants will be inspired, elevated and educated using KitBash3d’s worldbuilding tools. Participants will get their work seen by industry professionals, get access to tons of educational content, and have the chance to win amazing prizes!

Everything you need to know about the challenge

The challenge is to create your own planet with a unique discovery settlement! This is the largest 3d art challenge event of the year. Challengers can submit their contribution to the Minerva Galaxy as either concept art or an animation and together, participants will create a user-generated galaxy!

Participants receive a free 3d asset Kit as well as Basic Training tutorials, intended to teach new and seasoned artists everything they need to know to build their first world or animation in Blender and Unreal Engine 5.

Creations will be seen and judged by top entertainment recruiters and art directors from ILM, Riot Games, NASA, Netflix, and CD Projekt Red, and challengers could win incredible prizes! This community art challenge is all about imagination, creativity and discovery.

How to Enter:

To compete in the challenge, use the free Mission to Minerva Kit to build your own world in concept art (still image) or in motion (animation).

Then share your creation on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or ArtStation, using the hashtag #KB3Dchallenge!

Posts with the #KB3Dchallenge will be automatically entered into the challenge. Posts submitted after December 2, 2022 9am PT, or that do not include #KB3Dchallenge, will not be considered.
