Comics artist and Mangaka Mikiko
Mikiko is a German-Japanese artist currently living in London, UK. She is mostly known for her slice of life webcomic ‘Miki’s mini-comic’ which has about 5 million clicks online.Β Her Boys Love manga called ‘Crash’n’Burn has won the prestigious Max und Moritz-Preis in Germany.
Usually, she works on her own manga as an artist and author, but in the past, she has been active in the games industry (Cover artwork for Nintendo, for example), as well as television. In 2013, she hosted a Japanese pop culture show called J-Mag, in which anime, manga, art, the Japanese language and popular trends were discussed.
Her work has been published in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and (soon) Japanese.
