LightBox at a Glance
Between the bustling booths on the exhibit floorΒ andΒ the panels and demonstrations from industry leaders, there was no shortage of inspiration. The WacomΒ socialΒ team enjoyedΒ attendingΒ presentationsΒ covering topics such as 3D sculpting,Β animation storyboard development, as well as digital drawing and painting. There were also five Cintiq stations scattered around the convention center where scheduled artists connected with attendees in a more casual setting.Β Aside from the demonstrations, our favorite part of LightBox was the endless one-of-a-kind artworkΒ sold atΒ the artist booths. By the end of LightBox, we collected an array of pins, stickers, books, jewelry,Β apparel,Β and even a few plushies that weΒ justΒ couldnβt resist.

The Wacom social teamΒ also debuted the brand newΒ MobileStudioΒ Pro at LightBox Expo. Artists across the convention centerΒ were able to test driveΒ theΒ ergonomicΒ Wacom Pro Pen 2Β and experience the clarity and superior color quality of the high-resolution display.Β
Animation Dance-OffΒ
Our Animation Dance-Off sponsored by ToonΒ Boom was a hit! LightBox attendees enjoyed a night filled with refreshments, networking, dancing, and a special compilation video showcasingΒ our Dance-Off participants.Β Β

“My favorite part of LightBox Expo has got to be the energy of the place. It felt like we were all in a happy little bubble. I loved seeing people meeting each other for the first time. There were even two proposals! There are only a few times in our lives that are so special that we don’t even understand the gravity of it until 10 or 20 years later. I feel like everyone knew that this moment in time at LightBox Expo was a very special one that we will look back fondly on for years to come.”
