Vamos conhecer uma artista que leva sua vida e suas experiências para as suas artes. Hoje falamos com a Vanessa Ferreira – Preta Ilustra.

Meu nome é Vanessa Ferreira, sou Formada em Publicidade e Propaganda, Design de Interiores e Visual Merchandising. Trabalho como Diretora de Arte e Ilustradora. Criei o @pretailustra para tornar as artes mais acessíveis através das redes sociais, tendo a mulher negra no protagonismo dessas narrativas.

Na minha arte falo sobre ausências. Vivi em espaços ausentes de pessoas que se assemelhassem comigo, ou que viesse do mesmo lugar. Busco sintonizar na minha arte histórias e estéticas comuns às mulheres negras. Meu trabalho fala sobre “existir”, sobre “ser” para além das dores que nos atravessam. Falo sobre possibilidades, sobre força e dor. Sobre ausência e amor.

A arte não é sobre se comparar, é sobre existir de acordo com as bagagens do seu caminho. Para alguns, a oportunidade é a bagagem que decide quem pode caminhar.

Change is scary sometimes. It also requires time. 🫠
For @adam_theillustrator, it took some time to switch the mouse over a stylus, but he never looked back. 💪
