At Wacom, we believe in the power of creativity to shape the future. We’re passionate about supporting young artists and designers as they explore their potential and develop their skills. That’s why we’re incredibly excited to share the story of Design Kids, a remarkable organization at Stanford University fostering a vibrant community of young designers and empowering them to make a real impact.
As highlighted in a recent Stanford News article, they’re building a movement. They’re creating a space where students from all backgrounds can discover the power of design thinking, learn valuable skills, and connect with mentors who inspire them. They’re not just teaching students about design but teaching them to be designers, problem-solvers, and innovators.

We were deeply inspired by Design Kids’ mission and the incredible work they do. Seeing their dedication to nurturing young talent resonated with our own commitment to empowering creativity. That’s why we were thrilled to partner with them and provide Wacom devices – some Wacom Intuos pen tablets and Wacom Cintiq pen displays – to their students. These tools, known for their precision and intuitive design, are the perfect companions for budding artists and designers as they bring their ideas to life.
The joy and excitement in these videos are palpable. You can see firsthand how these tools ignite a spark in these young creators. For some, it’s the first time they’ve experienced the magic of drawing on a professional-grade tablet. For others, it’s an upgrade that will allow them to take their skills to the next level. But for all of them, it’s an opportunity to explore their creativity without limits.
We believe that access to the right tools is crucial for fostering creativity. By providing these Wacom devices we hope to empower Design Kids students to unleash their imaginations, experiment with new techniques, and develop their unique artistic voices. We can’t wait to see the incredible things they create!
Design Kids is more than just an organization; it’s a family. They’re building a supportive community where students can learn from each other, collaborate on projects, and celebrate each other’s successes. They’re fostering a sense of belonging and empowering these young designers to use their skills to make a positive impact on the world around them.
At Wacom, we’re proud to support Design Kids and their mission to empower the next generation of creative thinkers. We believe that by nurturing creativity and providing access to the right tools, we can help shape a brighter future for everyone.
