Another group of winning artists from The Rookies’ annual art and design contest is in the books and, for the 10th year, Wacom was honored to be a prize sponsor for this wonderful creative contest that brings artists together from around the world. Winners from five categories – Visual Effects, Game Development, Concept Art, 3D Animation and 2D Animation – were sent Intuos Pro tablets. In addition to Wacom, dozens of other sponsors from some of the world’s finest organizations, banded together to support The Rookies. The judging panel, made up of a large group of industry experts, filtered through 3,769 entries to arrive at the following winners. The Rookies, established in 2010, is a community for non-professional digital artists. Whether a student or hobbyist, The Rookies online community is created to help people become better artists, learn new skills and network with others who also have a passion for art and design. The Rookies offers users a cool way to showcase their work to the world. The custom built tools within The Rookies site allows users to upload everything they need – images, videos and galleries.
