Are you struggling with wrist pain from drawing? You’re not alone, and there’s a good chance it’s coming from one common mistake: drawing from the wrist instead of the shoulder.

In this video, award-winning animator and artist Aaron Blaise (Brother Bear, Mulan, Beauty & the Beast) breaks down:

  • How your wrist tendons actually work
  • Why small, repetitive tablet strokes can cause long-term damage
  • The secret to drawing pain-free for decades
  • Practical tips on posture, movement, and drawing technique

Aaron shares how he’s avoided wrist pain for over 40 years as an artist, and how you can too – whether you’re working digitally or traditionally.

Draw smarter. Protect your hands. Build a long career!
